Nikhil Siddhartha, also known as Nikhil, is a prominent Indian film actor and politician. He was born on June 1, 1985, in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He is the son of former Rajya Sabha member and industrialist Narayana Rao and former Telugu Desam Party MLA Shalini. Nikhil began his acting career in 2003 with the film “Sambaram” and has since acted in several successful Telugu films.
Early Life and Education
Nikhil Siddhartha was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Telangana. He completed his schooling at Hyderabad Public School, after which he pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Hyderabad. After completing his education, Nikhil worked as a marketing professional in Mumbai for a short period before venturing into the film industry.
Acting Career
Nikhil Siddhartha made his acting debut in 2003 with the film “Sambaram,” directed by Dasarath. He then appeared in several successful Telugu films, including “Happy Days,” “Swamy Ra Ra,” “Karthikeya,” “Surya vs Surya,” “Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada,” “Kiraak Party,” “Arjun Suravaram,” and “18 Pages.” Nikhil’s performances in these films were widely appreciated by both critics and audiences.
Political Career
Apart from his acting career, Nikhil Siddhartha is also an active politician. He joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 2017 and campaigned for the party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. However, he lost the elections from the Mandapeta constituency. In March 2021, Nikhil resigned from the TDP and joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), headed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
Personal Life
Nikhil Siddhartha is married to Pallavi Varma, who is a doctor by profession. The couple tied the knot on May 14, 2020, in Hyderabad, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
